Well...no, not really. Murder specifically deals with killing humans, not eating meat:
murder - Definitions from Dictionary.com As well as being inaccurate & potentially insulting, in the UK calling somebody a murderer who is not could lead to prosecution for
slander, if spoken, or
libel if written. Often these are dealt with as private prosecutions for damages ($$$). Perhaps we can blame the McCartney's for wearing T-shirts that say "Meat is Murder" -- which just makes me think "no it's not, that's being silly".
