Support the completion of The Greater meaning of Water

Following several threads, it has been suggested to open up a fund raise to support the completion of Sky Christopherson's The Greater Meaning of Water, a 45 min. Amorgen Pictures production. Recently, it was announced by Christopherson here on Deeperblue that postproduction has closed down due to lack of funds. According to the film's website, the production currently has a financial shortage of USD 36.000. With this ammount, the film would see completion, but no sponsors was found within a reasonable time frame.

So with this post, I will attempt to host such a fund raising through my otherwise inactive PayPal Account.

Why the heck trust me with your money?:

My name is Christian Heckmann Engelbrecht, I'm 30 years old and I live in Copenhagen. I have been freediving for some ten years now, I'm an official AIDA judge (level C in learning) and I have been working with the official AIDA world ranking lists for a couple of seasons now.

My only goal with this fund raise is to see the completion of Sky Christopherson's film. If I should suddenly 'disappear' with any funds, there are several DB members in here who know me personally and WILL seek me out with iron clubs targeted for my knee caps!

If people have transferred funds to my account, and for whatever reason the fund raise is called off, I will return every single transfer to its originators (preferably through PayPal accounts). If any other fund raise is initiated that can assume the role of this one better, I will transfer everything to it.

During the process, I will keep DB's forum continously updated on the process of the fund raise. I'll be happy to create a continous list of contributors and the size of their contribution, unless people request anonymity. If the fund raise goes all the way, I'm sure Mr. Christopherson wouldn't mind including such a name list in some 'special thanks' entry in the credits of the film.

Perhaps Mr. Christopherson could post in this thread and disclose in better detail exactly what Amorgen Pictures needs the $36k for. Personally, I have no idea.

As I understand, DB has in the vicinity of 12.000+ registered members. I share no illusion that all these will support such a fund raise. But if let's say 500 would, $36k gives an average of USD 72 for each party.

Any support (from say, 5 bucks and up) can be transferred to my PayPal account on the E-mail address c.h.engelbrecht@gmail.com. Please note on the transfer 'Support for completion of Greater Meaning of Water'.

For starters, I have myself thrown in USD 100. I'm personally curious to see if this is actually possible.

Feel free to forward this message to other apnea communities on the Web.

For the fate of humans and the fate of animals is the same. As one dies so dies the other; indeed, they all have the same breath and there is no advantage for human over animal, for all is vanity."
