Alexander muzzles

Steve Alexander has two muzzle styles for his "Inshore" gun that can be seen here: http://mywebpage.netscape.com/stevea...orephotos.html

Lets call the first a "line wrap" and the second a "slip ring" muzzle.

Will those of you with experience using these types of muzzles describe the advantages and disadvantages of each type? Is either more accurate, faster to load, less likely to loose the spear, safer, more powerful, etc.?
