Previously unexplained whales deaths caused by DCS?

One of the many things I spend time thinking of to avoid my day job, but, do mammals suffer DCS (the bends or Nitrogen micro bubbling), and if not, why not??

Those beached whales that seem to pop up once in a while, or even pods of Dolphins. Once blamed solely on sonar, now sonar may bring on DCS by scaring deep mammals into surfacing too quickly, well, read:

Re: Previously unexplained whales deaths caused by DCS?

Yeah well according to Bush we need to keep using the active sonar for training because it is essential to our national defense. I mean isn't that obvious...because submarine attacks by terrorists are such a high probability. ooooo it makes me mad

Quote from the Washington Post: "Sperm whales routinely dive more than two miles below the ocean surface to hunt for giant squid." Damn, and I think I'm pretty bad ass if I dive down 30' to shoot stripers.
