AHH... Not Now!!!

i just found out 2 day after i went in to the hospital. iv had pain in my ankle for 2 days and excruciating pain that even my vicidon wouldnt touch.... that i went in and had it looked at he said "its not swelled up to bad but it feels out a place i want to x-ray it to make sure its all ok" so i go in and an hour later get my answer i broke my ankle and he said i got 2 options get a cast and cruchs for a few weeks to 2 months or ill fill your vicodin bottle and get you a steel brace rap and show you how to tape it up.... i couldnt go that long off work. i asked if the brace wrap would fit in a regular shoe and he said yes so i guess im already out part of my season... but at least not out of a job....

as injuries go, let them heal or your ankle will always be messed up!

Bugger! Make sure you heal it up well, joints like to hold a grudge so to speak. Hope you get better!

Take it from me, keep off the thing as long as possible!!!! I all but broke my ankle almost 2 years ago, and it would have been a quicker healing process and more comfortable recovery if i had broken it! It still to this day gives me trouble! Once it's healed go see a physio for any rehab that'll help strengthen it. I've only got about 60% of the inversion eversion flexibilty in my left ankle than I do in my right, thats from scar tissue and no rehab plan. DOH!!!

yea i know how i broke it i rolled it over past 90 degrees and i work in a heavy metal shop so i move steel around all day 250-5 lb pieces i jsut talked to my boss i got the forklift for the better part of next week so i dont have to carry it and the doc gave me a really nice steel brace that is a merical. i put it on and i can forget about it it wont let me twist turn or move my ankle at all once i put it on

went in 2 day and he said i could do with out the brace sometime next week if i keep goin easy....

Something must be in the air! I think I just broke my ankle too! F#*$!! I am pissed! Did a hike with my girlfriend and her family here on maui, what she claimed was a 4 mile hike ended up being a 9 mile hike. We left a car at the start and one at the end, well when we got to the end someone had left the keys for that car in the car at the start

Being the nice guy I decided to hitch hike back to the other car... Well on that mellow walk I ended up rolling my ankle, no big deal, didnt hurt, nothing serious. Well later that night I could barely walk. Today it still hurts, not swolen, not touch sensitive. I dont know what the hell it is. I was supposed to go on a dive tomarrow but I dont think I can handle long fins right now. Guess we will settle with doing some statics in the pool.

THats the thing, I can move it any direction, no pain. As soon as I put pressure on it is when the pain sets in. Im thinking it might be a nerve spasm.

Still worth getting it checked out. When I fractured my wrist it only felt like a mild bump for a long time. Get it looked at in-case it is something serious...
