nose or mouth breathing?

hi there...when i am about to draw my hold-breath, what is the proper way to inhale, meaning more nose inhalation or more mouth inhalation?

Re: nose or mouth breathing?

i dunno about proper, but when freediving, you will have a mask on probably, and a noseclip if you dont have one on, so you will be breathing in from your mouth, when doing any practice, it makes sense to train like you dive

Re: nose or mouth breathing?

yes, but some benefit can obtained from practising yoga style nose inhale/exhale (in one nostril out the other etc). Not for breathhold, but for learning how to fully relax and decrease your heart rate.
