I'm new and need help!

Help! I am 16 of average build and the only resources i have as far as water goes is a standard 6ft deep 25yrd pool. Right now i am only interested in dry static apnea and dynamic apnea without fins. My best dry static time is 2:15 and dynamic apnea w/o fins is 2 pool lengths. I need pointers on how to increase my times. I am fairly cautious as i don't want to blackout. By the way wat is samba and can u get it doing dry statics. Wat breathing technique should i use before doing dry statics and dynamic no fins. I have heard about hyperventilating. after u r done is there a certain way to release and breath in fresh air or do u just gulp it down. wat is packing? if i were interested in packing how would i do that? well, please get back to me. AMIGO

P.S. wat does PB stand for?

Re: I'm new and need help!

PB is personel best, samba is a loss of motor control, read through the start freediving thread in the beggining freediving forum, take a course-the best money you will ever spend, likely to double your pb's and learn technique and safety correctly, as good as this site is, thier is a limit to what you can learn online. you can loose motor control and black out static but it's relatively safe as long as you are reclined.

Like MHF said- take a course- you could hit 4 maybe 5 mins static. There are techniques you can learn- but without the proper training, could be dangerous. Ask your parents to pay for the class as a birthday/Christmas present- it would be the best thing you can do.
