hi, 1 week ago i could barely hold my breath for :45 seconds, but now after some training, i can do a 2:10 dry static, probably more i just stoped because i was exited for 2 minutes, but is 2:10 a average time for a 15 year old? my wet statics only about 1:30, but its harder cuz of pressure and stuff, used to be like 30 seconds, are these good for my age?
thanks -mike p.s. ive been doing a consecutive :45 second holds, i can get to 4 of them, im pretty sure these are called extreme co2 tables, should i continue doing so?

1, Pressure? Are you doing your statics in 10 feet of water? If not I think there's no pressure acting on you that will affect your times. The most probable reason for your reduced time in the water is the lack of relaxation.
2, I doubt age has anything to do with your times. An average time is an average time, regardless of age. The average would be 3 or 4 mins. And you should not worry about your times so much. This might also be affecting your times because you're so fixated on results alone. Stop!![]() 3, doing tables (whatever kind) are good for improvement. I suggest you continue doing so. I'm sure you know this, but never train alone in the water. Make sure you have a buddy you can save you if you BO. Keep up the good work.

You're quite close Jonta. With age you'll be able to relax more.

Please be sure you have a quality spotter (NOT just a lifeguard), more importantly know exactly what a quality spotter does.
Either that or just do dry statics until you can get one. It's a real easy way to die otherwise. Right now, you are one of the highest risk groups to have an underwater blackout that could kill you. Keep at it, but please be careful. With love... ~James
