Re: a new, softer kinder mustang footpocket yet?

Hi Holdown and Hi everybody,

I'm Natalia Bonfanti from C4.

The Mustang footpoket changed in September 2007.
The footpoket top part became bigger than the old one.

In Spring 2007 we changed the material hardness ( from 68 Sh to 60 Sh).
So the new footpoket is softer and more comfortable than the old one.

Hi there Nata, nice to see you on Deeperblue.
It would be great if you could send us some free samples, so we can report our field-tested impressions on the new fins
More seriously, here's the question: Is this newer footpocket the same mounted on the Wahoo fins? I read the same description about this one: softer material and a bit more room on top of the footpocket. Same?

PS: today it's holdown's birthday!!! (free samples anyone?)

Great to see you here indeed

Seeing that you are, can you tell me if the new amber Wahoo fins are still in production?

Yes Spaghetti, this newer footpoket is mounted on Wahoo, Mustang and SuperFalcon fins.

Pastor, amber Wahoo is still in producion.
The hardness of amber blade is 25 ( soft ), of black blade is 30 ( medium ).

Hi Pastor,

I'm sorry but at the moment we don't have any dealer in UK...
However you can find all the sales info on our website.

I hope that this may help you

One last (i promise) doubt:

What do you think that will be stiffer/harder to paddle: My actual Gara 3000 or the C4 (25 or 30 blades)?

Thank you,
Filipe Messias.

Re: a new, softer kinder mustang footpocket yet?

This is not the right way for your choise. To give you a good answer I need to know something more about you:

a) How tall are you and what do you weigh?
b) If are you an experienced diver?
c) For which type of dive do you use them ( apnea, spearfishing, snorkeling ecc) ?
d) How deep are you going?

If he does not - I would like some advice:
a) 1.80m 85Kg (female)
b) once to twice a week diving but no hard training :-)
c)apnea
d)max 30m (to 35m planned for this summer)

Re: a new, softer kinder mustang footpocket yet?

Hi Andrea,

I suggest you to take:

- hardness 25 = if you have a slow movement
- hardness 30 = if you have an energetic movement

About the model, what were you thinking about?

Ciao,
Natalia

Re: a new, softer kinder mustang footpocket yet?

Why not a carbon blade?
To have the best performance, I suggest you to take a carbon blade.

In this case, see that you need a good apnea performance, why not Mustang 80 ?

Ciao,
Natalia

Re: a new, softer kinder mustang footpocket yet?

Hello Natalia.

It would be nice if you give me some advice, too.

Male
1,85 m
73 kg
Apnea Constant Weight down to 25m until now (more to come *g*)
broad, quite slow kick (I think)
prefer soft blades (cross-checked Gara 3000 LD and Gara 2000)

Wanted: Carbon fins

Re: a new, softer kinder mustang footpocket yet?

Hi Dennis,

I suggest you to try Fuego VGR 25.
This is a softer blade, but not so much. See your weight and tallness, this would be great.

For Andrea:
Wahoo fin is a great fin, the brown color would be the right hardness for you.
But I cannot say that Wahoo fin is the right choise for Apnea, see that you would like to improve yourself to 35 mt.

Ciao,
Natalia
