lost gun la jolla

anyone in the area i dropped my gun whuile diving off la jolla near the seal beach. cosas i think but the name could be very wrong/ 1.3 ra in very good condition now waits loaded for someone to find. if anyone finds it ill pay money for it to get it back.

Any Idea what depth? I might be there later on this week, will look for it. A buddy of mine lost a nice riffe out there earlier thjis year when his floatline got ran over.

how did you manage to loose your gun.

i had it attached to a fish i was cleaning, loaded and hanging incase something came through in the meantime. the floper must have caught on some sea grass and pulled the stringer through the fish, (clearly was not rigged well enough) by the time i felt the weight difference it was gone, fell into the gras and was covered i am guessing(i never saw it fall).Tthere was a bit of swell, I dove around for a while but was not sure exactly where to look, after a while i drifted off the spot and was all turned around and just gave up as i had no idea where to go back too. pertty expensive lesson to learn... top top it off i came home today and had to through the fish away as the fridge had gotten turned off during the day(who knows which bright spark did that)..... anyone interested in some $500 chum?

Bummer of an experiance.
I will give the area an extra pass over the next few days of diving.
FYI; I shot a 29b lb YT at out there yesterday.

I'm going out tomorrow near seal cove. I'll definitely keep an eye out for you. I read on the san diego fishing site that 2 guys were surf fishing at torrey pines, and up walks a diver with a speargun in one hand and a 20lb YT in the other, said he shot it almost point blank only 25 yards outside the surf near scripps pier.

Yeah, been hearing stories of the YT, was surfing Blacks on Sunday and saw one swim through the line up probably about that size or bigger, thats when I went in got my gun and went looking for one, 2 hours I was gunless.
