reel for black master or master 2000

Cant help you with the reel but where have you been for the last few months?

i am still looking for this reel, non of the omer reels fit as the gun has the crocodile mouth line grip on the handle and no attachment point for the available omer reels. my only other option is to change to a new design handle and get a match reel but it will loose its unique feel so it is the last resort. anyone got some ideas or even a reel to fit?. season is starting and this gun is my Baby.

I think I remember this gun, I could be wrong but I think the omer universal reel fits it. But I don't think they make them any more. You could look into the imersion reel or the new sporasub reel , they both can be attached to barrel using plastic brackets. I don't recall the shape of the barrel on that gun, but I think is the one where the track syncs into the barrel around mid way (great gun I think).

Yes Strangelove, its the carbon hydroform barrel with shallow track at rear building to half at 2/3 point,
at handle and muzzel its round same as the new Cayman HF. i have tried so many reels at stores but non fit as well as needed, it did have one but ime damned if i know where it is now, lent, lost, hiding, no idea, but it is a great gun to use.

I think the new sporasub or the imersion reel should fit your gun. They both have plastic brackets to attach to the round barrel.

I was crazy about that gun, but at the time I could not afford, does it has an odd size rubber thread ?

Peter I had Black masters but it was a long time ago so I can't remember how the attachment was made, and anyway there was not much choice about reels at that time: I used the Omer reel with a shape similar to a bell and I think it's still available.
Hoevere I have friends who still use guns with old Master handles: I will ask them, so keep in touch and don't loose hope cause your friend Macaroni is here for you :-)

IN ANY CASE: if we don't find a reel with a perfect fitting, for your Master 2000 you can get the Match 30 or Match 50 with the universal fitting (a ring that matches any 28mm round barrel guns). Or the Sporasub as well as Strangeolve said (but the Omer Match is really good)

Thanks Spaghetti. I have loked at the universal reels, its an option, i will hang on a bit longer then i will have to decide wether to pension off the old beauty and purchase the Mares or maybe the cayman, whatever happens thanks to all

I sent a mail with your question directly to O.ME.R. I'll let you know hopefully soon as they reply ( I'm sure they will).
In any case don't trash the old beauty. They still have a market of die hard lovers.
Me I'using a quite old Master Competiton with shaped carbon/kevlar barrell. I restored it, customized a bit, kitted with a nice "America" shaft and Match reel and... I'm loving it! But it has an Excalibur handle, not the Master handle, so I have to wait for Omer to reply my mail in order to answer your original question.
BTW: can you show a close pic of the handle/ reel fitting?

I think the reel you are looking for is this one on my blackviper. Very good reel but I don't think they make them any more.

Peter, the owner of Omer in person replied to my mail, and he said that none of the new reels are compatible with the Master handle attachment, you must stick on the Universal reel, or whatever NEW type reel with a ring fitting to place it directly on the barrell. I think this is the way to go.
