Never seen one like that, what does the writing say? Good to see more guns with the handle in the right place

I thought you'd like this one. I'm assuming that it is an older gun(?) but it looks like a design that would work well today and might out perform some more modern guns.

Wow that's one long trigger mechanism. Gun definitely looks older but seems to be built pretty sturdy. Never seen one with the handle that far up the barrel though...interesting.

- is that a built in fish-subdueing drogue/parachute?! Extinguisher guns?!I find it humbling to see some of the ingenuity included in the old spearguns and old bikes, motorbikes & cars. So much thought and creativity has already gone into them. You see things that were decades ahead of the market & sometimes are more advanced that modern products but, perhaps, still impractical for commercial use. The movie Tucker gives me a similar humbling feeling. [Foxfish, any chance of getting a picture of your old gun onto that site? Portland Oceaneering have some interesting old guns on the wall - although not as weird & wonderful.]
