Roomies wanted for Grand Cayman in April

Hi Everyone,

I'm registered for the PFI Advanced Freediver course in Grand Cayman, Apr. 24-27. I plan on arriving on Apr. 20, so I can be there for the final two days of PFI's world record attempts, and then will stay through after the course for the student competition, finally flying out on May 2. What I REALLY need is people to room with, so we can share the cost of a room. I'm a retail supervisor (not exactly rolling in cash), so this trip will be VERY expensive for me, and it will really help financially if I can share the cost of lodging with others (frankly, I don't even know where to start LOOKING for lodging, I've NEVER done a trip like this before!). I figured, it's never too early to start planning, and I hate having so many things up in the air! If you're going to be there at any time during those dates (Apr. 20 - May 2), and can help, please send me a private message. Looking forward to this trip, seeing the PFI gang again, and I've never been to Grand Cayman before!

Todd

I worked/lived in Cayman for 15 months. Speak to Nancy at Divetech, maybe she could ask the instructors if anyone has a spare room/bed/shed to rent you for that time... also contact Red Sail Sports, Bob Sotos, Don Fosters, ask them if you can advertise on their notice boards for accommodation.

have a great time, and also some of those coconut shrimps for me

Say hello to West Bay Dock as well, i have dragged many tanks down there

Re: Roomies wanted for Grand Cayman in April

Todd,

I posted (thought so, anyway) on this thread and it seems to have disappeared. Anyway, Try Googling for guesthouses in GC. They are considerably cheaper than hotels and some come with cooking facilities, which can really cut your expenses. I stayed a Elderidges (sp?) and it was fine. Its near the SW end of the island, close to the airport. There are one or two more on the island, at least one near the north end of 7 mile beach.

Good luck,

Connor

Re: Roomies wanted for Grand Cayman in April

I've actually gone ahead and reserved a garden suite at Cobalt Coast (the main staging area for the PFI course); now I have room for two more divers who are willing to split the cost of the room. The dates again are Apr. 20 to May 2. If interested, drop me a private message for details.
