Spearfishing Puerto-Rico

I'm thinking about taking a trip to Puerto Rico soon. My wife will be in South Africa and unfortunately its not for pleasure. Her father is extremely ill. I will not be going along but will be going crazy without my wife & son. So....I'm planning a small SOLO vacation. I wish I could go to Italy or Dubai or someplace like that but airfare is too much for me to go there. Airline tickets are cheaper than I've EVER seen them right now to get to Puerto Rico, Jamaica or the Bahamas. I do have a place to stay in San Juan P.R. so thats my first choice. My relatives there are nice but they don't even go to the beach ever!!! However they do like FRESH fish!

I have NO clue as to the legalities of spearfishing in P.R.

Can ANYONE give me a clue please? Anyone?
