A few of us went to Les Medes islands on Sunday to celebrate Johnny's birthday and have a great time in the water. It's a national underwater park so full of fish it's like swiming in an aquarium. Here's some of the photos, more will be posted in the gallery section later. We were lucky and had pretty good visibility.
1. Corbas and grouper. 2. Large dorada 3. Grouper 4. Johnny 5 Johnny and Rafa coming through the tunnel - if you look closely you can see a small bronze dolphin at far end. Last edited by Adrian; July 12th, 2007 at 11:27. |

Here are some more: 1. octopus 2. Rafa checking out some corbas 3. School of sargos 4. Wolf very happy with his new Elios suit 5. Wolf chilling under some salpas
There were tons of large bass and dentex. Really, it's worth it to come here. You'll see the Med as it was probably a hundred years ago - how it's supposed to be!!! Last edited by Adrian; July 10th, 2007 at 16:59. |

Adrian, great pics! How do you go to the islands? We always have to go with a scuba boat and that almost never visits any good freediving spots over there. So most of the time we visit the Sa Tuna bay over there.

Hi Jorg, we have access to a boat. My friends take it from Santa Margarita and pick me up at Cala Montgo on the way there. Unfortunately with a scuba boat you are basically limited to their one hour timetable. Let me know when you are around this time !
