I havent seen one yet even though there is prolly already 1000+ posts on this already.
So i thought id start another... Here is my 2 guns Top is a cressi SL100r which i purchased 2nd hand and painted with the help of FOXFISH(cheers mate) Bottom is the new toy i just purchased...Seac Asso 115 And my youngest son thought he was missing out so i had to take one of him ![]()

On which gun mate?
If the asso its just what came with it when i bought it...When i get some cash im gonna fill the reel up with either mono or dyneema(not sure which one yet)

Some people are using dynema & like it a lot, I prefer to use 1.5mm clear mono & change it regularly.
I also fit a swivel clip so you can push the spear through the fish if you cant get if off the barbs.

Yes that is right, with some fish it is very difficult to draw the spear back through the flesh & bone. This way you have the option to pass the spear through the entry hole & pull the disconnected clip through without any drama or further damage to the edible flesh

I think that with mono on your reel, if you were to get a nick in the line say 20 or 30 feet into the spool than you would have to cut it wasting alot of line. Just my thoughts though. maybe some will disagree with me.
