Florida Keys spearfishing on 1/27/08

First let me say hi ya'll. My name is Stephen and I am a second year medical student. Each year for the past few decades my school has hosted a free health fair for the residents of the Florida Keys to provide health screening, education, follow-up, etc. We usually set up 3 stations, one at Key West, one at Big Pine, and one at Marathon.

Since we are going down to the keys this weekend for the fair and have Sunday (1/27/08) completely free (it is rare to have a weekend free), I was hoping to find someone that could show a couple of us a decent time permitting the weather holds out.

For a little background to our ability, I have been spearing for about a year now, swimming from shore to the pompano drop-off in Fort Lauderdale about once a week, and want to take up the opportunity to see something a bit different/bigger and deeper while we are in the keys (normally we get snapper, hogs, and mackerel <2 feet in about 20-30ft of water, but are interested in up to 50 feet).

Any recommendations for charters, location, etc. that have been good to you in the past would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
