Deep pool in Miami?

I want to practice diving comfortably at around 20-30FT. Does anyone know of a deep pool in Miami that I could use to practice at?

Re: Deep pool in Miami?

JP I've been trying to find something similar, I was wondering about going to the UM pool. My lil bro trains there with his swim team and says that on some days anyone can jump in. The pool reaches 16ft but there are other methods of training as well. Is there a pool at FIU?

Even 16 feet is already more than the usual 8 ft in most pools. FIU I believe has a nice deep one but in Biscayne Bay which is sort of far and out of the way.

Re: Deep pool in Miami?

Deep pools in Miami are not too common 16' is deep, I think most pools in Universities would have a deep part for the dive team question is would you be able to use it, thats the tricky part. An idea is to lake dive...I use to train (many moons ago) with a bud in Homestead (all lakes/ponds in HS are crystal clear) to 80'...KEY WORDS- with a bud ...good look be safe
