The Snowball Cup in Ottawa Feb 23 2008

Dear water enthusiasts!

The Ottawa Freedivers are proud to host the the first Eastern Regional Snowball Cup!

This will be a one day event, hosted in Ottawa at the Carleton University Aquatic Centre, February 23rd, 2008.
There will be two disciplines; a Static Apnea event in the morning, and Dynamic Apnea, with or without fins in the evening.
Please visit AIDA International to familiarize yourself with the current rules.

Cost to enter the competition is $65. This includes the CAFA sanctioning fee and your results will be submitted to the AIDA Ranking List.

As a special one-time offer, those athletes who have never held a CAFA membership will receive a one year membership FREE!
This will give you access to our newsgroup, ranking on the CAFA site, access to Team Canada membership (to qualifying athletes) and much, much more! This offer is only for this competition (a $25 value) so please take advantage and get to meet divers from all across Canada.
There will also be awards and prizes!

Plan to spend the night in town to enjoy the awards ceremony, dinner and of course, the after party!
Rumour has it that certain hearty individuals may venture to Morrison’s Quarry on the Sunday for some Ice Freediving to freshen up before the drive home.

To register for the competition, please visit Freedive Canada - Home and click on the link for the Snowball Cup!
Space is limited so please register early to guarantee your spot.
Any questions you may have may be posted here or you may contact me directly.

We are looking forward to hosting this competition and encourage everyone to participate!

Cheers,

Matt Charlton
