Which freedive computer??

Hello!
I'm new in this forum, I'm writing from Italy (Mantova) and it's a pleasure to be here!
I'll already ask something...
Firstly I'm a freediver for passion, but I'm a recreational scubadiver too. I'd like to buy a dive computer good for this two needs and I'm knowing this models: Suunto Mosquito, D4, Stinger and D6; Mares Nemo Excel and Titanium; Cressi Edy 2.
I know the price differences... Could anybody suggest something to me about these models?

Thank you very much from now!!

Re: Which freedive computer??

I am using the mares nemo (steel version)
for freediving and scuba.
i love it.
it has good freediving features. like the interval alarms.
i set it on beeping every 10 m. so i dont have to look at it while diving...
the scuba functions are also quite good.
there is nothing i miss.
the displaysize is o.k. and very easy to understand.
o.k. it is not air integrated, but i dont need this.

and it doesnt look so bad as a wristwatch ;-)

you will find all the details on Mares - stand for diving

Re: Which freedive computer??

Hello Marc!
Thank you very much for your good opinion about Mares Nemo and its scuba and freediving functions! It will be useful for me to take the right decision (...for the right dive computer...)!

Good sea!

Re: Which freedive computer??

As far as i now, the d4 replaces the mosquito.

when i bought my computers, i had a look at the websites of the producers. usually there are demos, where you can see the display and its functions during a dive. i found this very helpful, because you can see if you understand it easily and like it or not.

have a look at these threads:
http://forums.deeperblue.net/freediv...ws-report.html

and

http://forums.deeperblue.net/freediv...computers.html

maybe you will find some valuable information there.

Re: Which freedive computer??

Thank you one more time Marc!
I didn't know about the demos of the producers web-sites, it's a clever idea and I'm going to take a look at it and other links! Now my preferences are Suunto and Cressi and I'm searching for a good price!

Bye to the next time!
Luca
