Computer games with freediving?

Would anyone be interested in a persistant online freediving game?

You would have a character that you train (with some things that can be useful in real life, like static tables), then you could compete with that character to earn money to buy equipment and toys (boats, scooters, ect). There could be co-operative (finding players to be safety divers for your next big dive) and competitive (competitions for money) gameplay.

Any ideas?

I know it's an old thread and most of you probably aren't playing videogames anymore (considering the average age of the users in DB), but I just thought I'd mention it...

So a few days ago there was this new game released called Just Cause (yes that's the name of the game, don't ask me). It's basically GTA on a tropical island AND it has some freediving content in it. It's not much, but if some of you (like the creator of this topic) enjoyed diving and swimming in San Andreas, you're going to love it in Just Cause.
The island(s) is HUGE (at least 2 times the size of the whole San Andreas map) and there is lots of water everywhere. But not only there is water, there are also many different water vehicles like all kinds of boats, jet skis and even underwater scooters (yep, DPVs). Most of the landscape is covered with wild nature and little fisher villages but there are also a few really big metropolises.

Here are some pictures I shot. The darker pics are taken in really deep water and the pics with greenish water are taken right at the shore.

There is a new game just released in the last days: Diver: Deep Water Adventures . Probably more scuba than freediving, but the trailer does not look too bad. It seems to have a lot of features. Made in Russia; there are http://www.diver3d.ru/self.php?page=news&lang=rus, http://www.diver3d.com/, http://www.diver-game.de/ and http://www.sdll-fr.com/jeux-video/jeu_Diver-Deep-Water-Adventure_31.html versions available. Apart from Germany and France, the producer still looks for distributors - so it might be interesting for some of you from the business point of view too.

I am lucky today - although I do not search for games at all (I never play PC games) - diving related games pop up on me today wherever I move (not even on diving related websites). So there is a third gaming post today:


Nintendo is going to launch their new game console Wii in two weeks, and one of the games ready for this brand new platform is a diving related game called Forever Blue (there is no information about the game yet on Nintendo's website - the link goes to WikiPedia). Well, I do not know the mentioned games personally, but at least the game Mission looks like a treasure hunting game. Its German title is "Schatztaucher" what means Treasure Diver. And I bet that there are some treasure hunting features in some of the other games too.

The new Monkey Ball game on the Wii has a mini game which is spearfishing. It's pretty amusing, you use tridents to spear your player's coloured fish. I have a photo of the screen whilst my friend was playing it if anyone is interested in seeing, it's not an amazing photo, but I'll post it later once I have downloaded it from my phone.

diver deep wather adventures is indeed a good game

Been playing the next generation MMORPG Age of Conan. I am simply amazed by the freediving in this game. Really long dives to SUPER deep with a blackout meter when running low on air. This has to be the best game I have seen thus far to freedive in. I am playing on deathwhisper under the name skinflik if anyone wants to come check it out. I will try and get some screenshots of the diving I have been doing and post them soon.
