Ooops,
..."An 11-year-old boy picked up a speargun while helping a group of people load various items into a vehicle," the police spokesman said. "The spear discharged, and a 12-year-old boy among the group was struck in the head." ... You got to to follow that first rule of keeping loaded guns in the water -and unload them before pulling them out.  I hope the kid is okay, chances look good. The local news said that he was hit behind the ear and that the 3 prongs didn't penetrate the skull, so he should be fine. Damn lucky though.

The barb actually penetrated the boys skull , but not his brain and it was a barbed spear not a 3 prong.
