Cool Greets from Daytona Beach Florida

Ok, so I really live in Deadland (Deland) Florida, but its close enough!

Nice forum to have just discovered. I've always been a bit of a fish and started free diving around 13, SCUBA since I was 16. I love both of them for different reasons with free diving slightly topping the two (probably because it actually takes some effort).

The best part is I just started a job that requires making 20 visits a month and my territory is the east coast of Florida from the Keys all the way to Jacksonville and accross to Panama City! Hence the newfound interest in free diving (well, save for the springs which are practically next door)! And I don't even have to use my own car/gas! Woohoo!

Cheers,
Joe

You're pretty lucky, Joe. We have a lot of active members in Florida, so if you wish to check out the hunting and freediving subforums in your area, you're welcome to drop in and chat, or find new buddies.

Welcome to Deeperblue

Re: Greets from Daytona Beach Florida

On that note, I'm going to Miami on the 18th to staff a Alumni gathering at the Marlins/Philly game (basically I hand out name tags and then watch the game and get h!ammered! ti

Therefore, I get a hotel paid for through Saturday and was wondering if there were any recommendations on where to
dive/hunt?

I know its probably the wrong part of the forum to ask this question, but as an FNG I'm asking for leneancy; So I"ll find it eventually if someone can point the way!

Cheers,
Joe

Hi Sasselhoff, Welcome to DB.

Your job will take you by some of Floridas best springs, Morrison, Troy, Warm Mineral for a change of pace, and lots more. Keep an eye on the Florida Freedivers thread for buddies, especially for Blue Springs. I'm probably going to be there on July 28.

Connor
