Freediving Job in Alaska

This might interest someone....

Snorkel Alaska in Ketchikan has an immediate opening for a PADI Divemaster or Instructor leading Discover Snorkeling tours in the last frontier. Are you looking for work and have a sense of adventure? Do you truly enjoy introducting people to the water? Are you detail oriented and a fast learner? Can you start tomorrow? If so we want to hear from you!

Position is full time, seasonal from now until the end of September. Position is also available for 5 months next season. Pay starts at $100 plus per day plus overtime and tips. All equipment and paid on the job training is provided. You should enjoy working with people and have excellent customer service skills and love to freedive. Knowledge of Pacific Northwest Marine life a plus or the ability to learn quickly. Tours are team led by three guides. They are 3 hours in length with 1 hour and fifteen minutes in the water. You can expect to run two tours a day and sometimes three. Two tours totals 8 hours per day.

Ketchikan is in Southeast Alaska so we have no glaciers and mild summer temperatures. The water temp. is already 60 degrees and will rise to 65 soon. We are in Alaska's southernmost city so the weather is mild here. Our tour has been voted Ketchikan's best tour three years in a row by our guests from Princess Cruises. Do you have what it takes? If so we want to hear from you immediately.

Send your resume and a recent photo to snorkelalaska@kpunet.net. DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU CURRENTLY HAVE PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY TO WORK IN THE U.S. IE: Green card, work permit, U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident etc. Please include a contact number and a good time to call.

Enjoy the best fishing in the world in your free time. Great hiking, biking, sea kayaking and diving are right outside your front door. We have a room available at the shop too. The shop is right on the water with great views and comes with a 2 person sea kayak for you to use. Come to Alaska, start tomorrow and make some money!

At the surface I'm sure that's correct. The sun is up most of the day up there, eventually 24 hours/day for a while.
