Definite possible maybes
So far do not have a definite yes hook up for my hunt. I do have a room reserved at two different places one in Monterey and one south about 80 miles or so. Trying to work thru dive shops they seem friendly enough but no one actually said got someone for you, however they all want to sell me stuff. I guess I'll go pester the dive master at our local scuba shop for a few minutes to burn off a little eagerness so I can't other stuff done...

CA dive prep 10 days left
Well my daughters contact didn't pan out for my CA trip next month but at least I have got a local who is also interested in spearfishing. My mate got my suit in the mail man he likes to wait till the last minute on all things, drives me nuts sometimes as it doesn't leave much leeway for change of plans when things pop up. Perhaps he just knows I'll get it taken care of.
Getting nervous now about finding a dive partner. Thought 6 weeks...

I decided to head to California to get into the pacific and maybee get to see a friend. I figured I had better do it know as all my friends and family live scattered up and down the Alantic cost of the U.S. and I don't know when I'll have the oppertunity to get in California waters again as the family is getting older.
Any way I have tried to find a dive buddy through this site. Posted a thread and had a couple people try to put me in touch with other people. I actually...

I was 13 I could drive/direct by memory the semiannual family trek, from Fort Sill Oklahoma
to Massachuestts and New Jersey. We Spent 4 or five summers in a row on the Jersey beach
between two large boardwalks. Rafting waves, soaking in the sun, first crush and she was
from Holland so international HMmmm; any way I regress to much. The New Jersey shore...

Is it a midlife crisis? Is it a Now that the kids are all grown up my time thing?? Or is it simply a biological urge to return from wence we came??? Live precariously thru this tormented character as he rediscovers and becomes obsessed by the oceans again. The story will be true and the charaters real but it will be told in the "Surreal" reality of slimsteve an old salty, now landlocked in Iowa!
