Smile why a model 1 ?

this is a response to sanso, who asked why a model 1 ww over the model 2
here are some reasons, hope any of this helps.
-footpockets, I started out on a finis trainer mono cause I'm poor and it was 8 dollars on ebay, I can wear this footpocket for hours on end with no problems now, and ww model 1 medium blades can be had through finis with finis pockets, since I know the sizing allready. I chose this rout.
-as far as I know this option is not available for the #2 the PFI site doesn't offer A model 2 and I had trouble contacting ww.
-the model 2 would have been an easier transition as would a model 1 long distance but I spend 4 to 5 days a week in the pool so it shouln't take to long to adjust to the model 1.
-wanted a versitile fin, since records have been broken in both dynamic and constant with it, seemed like a good choice.
-this fin pushes almost twice as much water than my last fin so at first it seems like more physical exertion, but I reach my 50m faster and easier with oxygen to spare, only at this a few months, previously stuggled 50m
-the new footpocket are softer on the tops than the old ones, maybe done for comfort but now I'll have to add neoprean to the front part of my feet to get a good tranfer of power.
-one last note- the new model 1 is different than the yellow fiberglass fin I'm used to seeing in pictures, its black and the tappering is done via a material glued in layers on the backside of the fin(kevlar?) almost looks like the wings nemo without the wings. If anyone has tried both kinds of model1 maybe they can post a comparison.
-anyway I like the fin, I'll stop rambling now

The new M1

This new black material is made of fiberglass with composite resin.
It is MUCH more responsive in comparison with the old yellow FG blades.
This material brings the WW monofins one step closer to the feeling that the monofon truely is an extention of your body.
