Carbon v Normal

Well after making a big mistake last year and buying a mono which was WAY to hard for me, I will try again, this time with a Leaderfin Mono.

My question is, would a Carbon model "Medium" be the same stiffness as a normal fibreglass "Medium"?

I really have no interest in pool swimming apart from training, so I was thinking about getting a Medium stiffness for those deep openwater dives... but still a bit worried about (once again) getting something too stiff for me to dial in the technique.

I am a pretty lean kid, not really well endowed in the leg muscle department. So its either a SOFT or a MEDIUM for me....
