you could try ordering direct, the waterway website is WaterWay company I don't know if it will be any cheaper PFI, I think in either case it look like it would ship out of canada, you could maybe ask waterway if thier is a closer dealer. I just bought a suunto D3 from performance freediving, they are very reliable and helpful if you e-mail them.Depends on the fin you want too. If your getting a classic model 1 you might look into the Finis Competitor, which is the model 1 blade with finis pockets, they seem to be more commonly accessable at online stores, including swim shops

Hi Seamus,
I'm not too sure why the original waterway site now also has a Canadian address. The company itself and where the fins are made is in Kiev Ukraine, I have ordered several fins from them. Going back about 2 years now with an order of 3 or so fins (Basic model 1 LD1) including shipping still worked out under $200 Australian per fin. The canadian company was a reseller, I don't know if they have now merged or something ? Anyway if you live in Australia it makes no sense to pay double shipping from Europe, to Canada then back to Aus. Best bet contact Bogdan direct on the Kiev email :- lyashuk@waterway.kiev.ua Cheers, Wal |

Another thought, shipping works out is cheaper if you get 2 or 3 fins. With a single fin you nearly pay as much for shipping as the fin itself. Should get in touch with some of the guys from the sydney freediving club and see if anyone else wants a waterway fin. You could also just order 2 fins, keep the one you want and I guarantee you will be able to quickly sell off the second fin and save yourself some bucks. If you are after a basic monofin to get started the waterway model 1 is a great fin, good performance and nearly indestructible. The newer type advanced winged fins such as hyper fin, cheng bin etc do offer bit better performance but you also pay about 3 times the price.
