Question Pensacola Freediving

I'm interested in trying freediving the Pensacola area. I have two friends that scuba dive (one has a good sized sportfisher), but I'm more interested in freediving and spearfishing. I'm still shopping for gear, but have been doing some diving with my roommate's scuba fins and mask. Just looking for some direction and maybe a buddy.

I'm from Czech republic,living in Gulf shores,Al(45 min from Pensacola) also interested in freediving. I completed PFI intermediate course on January.Don't have a buddy either.
