Question Panama City Beach info needed

We're going back to Panama City Beach (with all my new & revamped gear)! 6/16-19. Anyone with info on:

1) Lifeboats in the bay.
2) Hunting off of St. andrews jetties outer.
3) Tug wreck Simpson.

Info would be muchly appreciated. Will be freediving.

Al

Re: Panama City Beach info needed

Got some scoop from Capt. Pat Green from PC. The jetties are off limits to spearing because:

1) Don't extend 1500 ft. into Gulf
2) Are now part of a marine reserve

So diving 7 "hunting" with camera only.

However, the E.E. Simpson wreck site is great (& shallow enough) and there are 2 areas of the Mexico Beach Artificial Reef areas that are in my depth range. Others range 50-100 ft deep. They're just South of PC & Shell Island towards Port St. Joe. Google the Mexico Beach Artificial Reef to find the site with all the coordinates any GPS or Nav geek could want. Some vids of fish too.

Hope this helps others. agbiv

Re: Panama City Beach info needed

Went, did it & had a blast! St Andrews Park & Shell Island side are fun to snorkel & take pics. The flats in the bay are nice & good for the family. Went out to the tug wreck E.E. Simpson. 25 ft exc viz. saw a 100 lb Goliath, many small grouper & a 6 ft nurse shark. Was at slack tide so little was biting for my boat crew but Spade Fish. Fun fighters though. I shot 2 huge spades for table fare. Fun dive. Regards, Chef Al
