http://www.maorisub.it/sito.htm they sell a gauge there you can use.

you really should go to www.medfish.com for pneumatic questions. They don't like dark side weapons here too much

Re: Cyrano pressure guage

I purchased one from Astruven in Houston and then made one that serves as a gauge and also as a regulator to fill the gun with a scuba tank and avoid the 700 pumps you must put into the gun.

Haven't tried them as I swaped guns and I now prefer wooden guns, but the pneumtic is great for cave fishing.

Re: Cyrano pressure guage

Yes I just installed the Mamba kit, but haven't tested it yet. I went to the coast just last weekend but storm Lane had just pased through and the water was very murky, so I didn't even put my mask on.

Most of my diving lately I try to catch bluewater fish so the pneumatics are not well suited for the purpose.

On my last trip to Baja I also prefered to use the 115 Omer gun for the leopard groupers because it gives me better distance than the Mares. Anything in the bigger size (above 5Kg) and I prefer to use a cannon, 72" 3/8 shaft 6 band gun.

nice fish.

How far do you hit your fish from with the Omer gun? The 850 (85cm) is too small for long shots.

Do u have pics of what ur talking about? Where can i buy it?
One of my guns is a Cyrano 850 and i used to love it untill i swapped to the rubber guns.. Id like to not have to pump it a million times before taking it down... that seems to solve the problem. i kinda miss using it.

Thanx
Zane

Re: Cyrano pressure guage

I don't have a camera here with me at the office, but I do have the box for the regulator. The regulator seems to be a UNIWELD RHP 500 Nitrogen Regulator inlet connection CGA 580, outlet connectio 1/4: Flare M and Delivery 20 - 500 PSI. You have to buy a hose to connect to a scuba tank and another hose to the speargun. A small adaptor must be made to go into the back of the gun.

I have no clue where you can have that piece made. Here in Mexico we are in the industrial gas industry and we have a regulator factory, so it was simple for me to get, I just took the thread and gave it to them and a day latter it was ready.

Answering how long my shots were with the omer, I would guess 3 or 4 meters and I was only using one band and the thin 7mm shaft.
