Mamba 130 or 110

Hey Guys.I am planning on getting a mamba air gun. I am currently using a omer cobra 115(with 18mm band and 6.5 spear) and am wanting more power and range. I was planning on getting a 110 but I dont know if this will have the same power as the cobra. From what I have heard the 110 should have more power but I dont for sure. That is why I am also thinking that I should maby get a 130 instead ?This will also be my first pneumatic............The dark side is calling me

Hi Sniper,
...I don't know how tall you are but I would suggest you a 110 Pn. as the easier is to load the more pressure you can handle.....

The Mamba will definitely have more power and range than the Omer. Do a search on Mamba to find more info.

Re: Mamba 130 or 110

Im about 1.9 meters tall. Do the 130's shoot differently then 110 and are there any other differences apart from loading. Thanks

Re: Mamba 130 or 110

I'm not an expert on the Mambas, I've loaded a 90, there is a trick to it, the longer guns are definitely harder to load but once you've sussed the technique it is fine. You are taller than me so that will help. PM Foxfish as I know he has a long Mamba airgun and he has sussed it.

Re: Mamba 130 or 110

....technical data shows as follows:
110 has a lighter shaft so speed is little bit more than 135....
135 has more punch due to heavier shaft...
besides, if the 110 is easier for you to load, you'll be able to load the gun with more bars....
Anyway you are tall enough to handle 135 with a small device and I think
you need more punch in Tonga due to big fishes hanging around...

Actually that is not quite true.........
A 13mm barrel will give you more power for the same internal pressure, but with a corresponding increase in loading effort (you cant get something for nothing). The major limiting factor on power is loading effort. There is no advantage in having the gun at a lower pressure
cheers

Re: Mamba 130 or 110

Alecrin,
..Dave is damn right!....
..Internal barrel of 13mm loaded with 25bars takes kgs 33.16 to push back the piston with the shaft.....if you load a gun with the internal barrel of 11mm with 35,26 bars you'll have same loading effort and same power.... BUT without mamba kit the gun with a 11mm internal barrel has a huge advantage: the column of water inside the barrel around the shaft is much smaller, that is more power and speed....
The only advantage I see with the 13mm barrel is a lot of pump strokes saved (if you load it on your own)...

Lower pressure seems easier on the trigger sensitivity and less stress in the gun internally So there are some advantages

Re: Mamba 130 or 110

I might have to wait a wile on the gun because I just spent the money that I was saveing for it on some Very nice fibre glass fins. I had to get them right then or I would mise out. Sorry for the delay
