Fish Pie? again.. sorry ;>)

Sorry this needs to be simple!! , I have browsed the last fish pie post!

Ok, I can only bbq and fry fish! At best I wrap in tin foil.

I want to cook fish pie (have a few bags of frozen mullet fillets, and Dab fillets that I want to clear).

1st I know the fish needs cooking. I was thinking of simply boiling the fish as rather than frying or bbqing. Should I boil and roughly how long should you boil for?

Then I understand you flake it.

Then put into a white sauce (I'll find this in a book).

Then mashed potato on top and grill?

If I want to cook up a few am I right to freeze after the potato goes on top and brown it when its defrosted in the oven. I'm guessing then it would go in the oven for 30mins? to warm the pie and brown.

with thanks ;>)

Re: Fish Pie? again.. sorry ;>)

thats about right, but a few minor tweaks;
Dont boil the fish, either poach it in milk then use the milk to make the white sauce, or microwave it
Sometimes I like a bit of cheese in the sauce (and on top of the mash)
I normally sling in some veggies (peas, brocolli, spinach, whatever you fancy)
A couple of chopped up boiled eggs mixed in with the fish is also nice

cheers

Or you could try this recipe, should also be able to freeze em before you cook and brown em.
