Is moray eel edible

Ive caught a id say aboyt 3-4kg moray eel in my fish trap, its the first moray ive seen up close and personal, and it looks evil my sis was terified, anyways im wondering if its possible to eat the moray like the comman silver eel or is it best to just return him somehow, and if eating is a plus does anyone know recipes to cook such an eel please, the pics are'nt great as i didnt take the moray out of the net yet so i can keep it alive before cooking or realeasing it
