Re: Freediving and Heart Disease

I've just read both those threads and they don't sound good. Do these irregular heartbeats happen in everyone if the body is pushed far enough or do they only occur in people with a predisposition to this problem? If the latter, how common is this?

Damaging one's heart tissue isn't very appealing to me!

Re: Freediving and Heart Disease

I have never experienced arrythmia caused by apnea, and I think I push myself hard. Probably some people are more susceptible than others.
