Martin used bi-fins. C4, I think. I guess he decided to move up from plastic!!

WOW!
So bi-fins have taken the record back from the monofinners. Jon

Very funny, because Martin used to be on the Czech national finswimming team.
Look out if he decides to use a monofin. Pete Vancouver, BC

An astonishing performance!!! Congratulations to Martin!!
I'm very curious why he chooses the bi-fins instead of a mono. His technique must be flawless I guess. Does anyone know (Eric F. perhaps??) Fred S. |

Which brings me to my question. Here is a guy who has been using a monfin, in competition, for years, yet he decides to break world records with bi-fins? If monos are that much better why wouldn't he want to take advantage of that? He already knows how to use one so there isn't much of a learning curve for him. Or, is he just so far beyond the rest of us that he does it to be more challenging? Also, wasn't Kirk planning on using bi-fins for his 75 meter attempt before his ears gave out? Jon

Martin says he also thinks mono is better, and he thinks he can go deeper with a mono, but he thinks it will take some time to learn the best technique, and in the mean time he said he thought he could still reach the 'required' depth for cyprus with bifins.

Martin is still recovering from an injury on her knees doesn´t it? Maybe this is the reason why he use bi-fins instead mono
