Spearguns That Arrive Broken

Two weeks ago I ordered a load of stuff from Scubastore.com. Everything, with the exception of the speargun arrived in tact. The gun I ordered was a CRESSI COMANCHE which sustained damage to the loading pad during transit. Scubastore.com have been really good thus far with regards to customer service. They have promptly got back to me and told me what I need to do to get my money back.

With the lack of a gun I was forced to buy another gun as I’m off on my trip next week. I bought a really nice gun off www.spearo.co.uk. I spoke to Dave to get his advice on a really sturdy gun and he also said that all guns arrive ready for use. Imagine my face therefore when the gun arrived totally dissembled, appearing to lack parts, and once again the loading pad broken! Dave has been out of the country until yesterday. I have rung and emailed but with no reply .

The point of this post is two fold. If you are going to sell spearguns please pack them up well. If you run a business make sure you provide good customer service and talk to your customers when they are desperately trying to talk to you.

I still have up until next Thursday to return the gun to Spearo and hopefully get a new gun returned to me. Here’s hoping I can post some good news in the next day or so

Im not trying to defend anyone, but consider the possibility that it might not be their fault, it could also be the shipping courrier or customs more likely...where do you live?

Marwan, I live in the UK. I totally agree with you that the problem is with the couriers. When I was returning the gun from Scuberstore.com I handed over the package to the person behind the post office counter. The long box was light and had fragile written all over it. To my amazement the guy took the box and sort of dropped/bounced it as he put it down – idiot!

My point is that these guns need to be packaged accordingly. But my frustration is also the lack of communication. Every day I have been trying to get hold of Dave. I've gone past the stage of being understanding – now I'm plain angry.

Re: Spearguns That Arrive Broken

Dave has literally just phoned me and said he will talk me through setting up the gun. He has also posted a new loading pad in the mail. I know he has just got back from Spain but this shows the importance of communication.

Many thanks Dave

Considering the time you have left, I think it is better option to get only the pad and assemble it yourself, with Dave's help. I am sure you guys will sort it out.
