I voted euro 100 twin band too because....
...my 106 has a muzzle for just one band and I can't change the muzzle because it's stuck in the barrel for salt and rust! ![]() Now I have some inputs scattered thoughts on what has been said by the other friends here: -reverse trigger. The trigger with the loading notches back 7cm (i-e. the mech behind the trigger) was "invented" by Marco Bonfanti of C4 on the Monoscocca guns, AFAIK, all the others came after and copied (Cayman, Pathos, Effesub et cetera et cetera all copied this type of design). It's a good solution because it gives a longer band stretch and more "power" compared to other guns of equal overall length. But it requirers a longer loading pad, to avoid the loading become unergonomic and difficult. -squid section. The squid section, or ellyptical, or "cuttlefish bone" section for the barrell is very good for side tracking because it "cuts" the water in the left-right swinging. BUT you must take care of the position of bands: if the bands protrude too much above the barrell, they will spoil the hydrodinamic effect of the ellyptycal barrell. I mean it's not just the nude barrell who must have an ellytpical section: it must be the barrell+bands as a whole who must have an ellyptical section. Thats why the bands must be somehow hidden in the profile of the barrell by some kind of groove carved in the sides of the barrel. Hope this helps Last edited by spaghetti; April 8th, 2008 at 19:14. |

Ah Ah Spaggie my man I knew you’d be here somewhere, what with you, Mr Foxy and the rest of the DIY crowd whatever length gun it ends up (90cms single band) it’s sure to be a cracker.

& the race is back on, the two main contenders are running neck to neck.
Quite right Podge the gun will be special, lots of ideas for us to consider but at the end of the day it will always be the majority vote that decides the guns design.

You ALL Listen to ME now!!!
YOU MUST VOTE 100 DOUBLE BANDS! In any case you will be able to use it with just one single band when you don't need the double. And since it will have a rail and open muzzle, you will be able to use it with a shorter shaft, so that its overall length will be equal to a 90. If you vote 90 single, your gun will be nothing else than a 90 single. But if you vote for a 100 double, you'll have more options available on your gun. 100 double rules ![]() |

C'mon 110cm with twin band!!!!
He's just been sitting back till now watching the other lengths dual it out, now they're starting to go into O2 debt and the 110cm is coming home FAST!!! I'll be the proud new owner of a RA 100cm CARANX Soon so I figure Either give me a little more or go the 90cm so I got more of a reef gun for the Shallower depths. Either way I'm not too fussed SO LONG AS I WIN IT!!!! ![]()
