places to see in romania [and somme drawings made by me:p]

I used to be able to draw like that years ago. My mother taught me how, being an artist.

I used to be pretty good till I broke 2 knuckles and fractured my wrist.

I used to sketch an ex of mine all the time,usualy from the images I had of her in my mind and from when we "would be together'.

Its kinda like breaking free.

it is a reproduction after ilia repine [not a good one, but it was fun after all]
it's oil on canvas [somwhere about 100x75 cm]

No-I was put off by a load of things.

Sorry guys I HAD to introduce myself in romanian! I was born there in 1977, and left the country in 1991. I'm now living in munich, germany, doing my phd in biochemistry.
Vali, can you tell us more about diving spots in romania? In 1998 i was in the black sea the last time, and visibility was poor (around 6-7m). The shore is mostly sand.
What about lakes? Any mountain lakes with good vis?
Is there a freediving community over there? I searched the net from time to time, but found nothing.

the cave girl was a study for an art-battle...in fact she is a sorceres
i drow her naked because this is the way to put some cloth upon her later

this is the VORONET monastery
they sat that the blue with who the church is painted is a unique color, not to be found anywhere in the world...

this is a picture from BRAN castle...
in the midlle age, romania was splited in three big parts and each of them had a ruler....
the RUCAR-BRAN passage was a very strategical one at the border of two of this three parts ...
in USA and some other countries in UE there is the believe that this castle once was the residence of VLAD DRACUL
and there was much publicity and movies with DRACULA...
becuse of that publicity, many people believe that this VLAD DRACUL was some sort of vampire and BRAN was his residence....
i will tell u that is not true, but than again, the legend stand still....
