Re: Wait time from diveskin

Myself i had my custom made suit from Diveskin in record three and half days after the moment I ordered it. Usually it may take little bit more, but afaik Spiros is usually quite speedy anyway.

About three weeks, including shipping to the other side of the world.

Re: Wait time from diveskin

I ordered mine monday night. Spiros said he might be able to send it off on Friday. If he does the suit will be here by end of next week.
That will be one and a half weeks.
Doesn't beat trux's 4 days (wow, THAT is quick! Respect Spiros) but it still is very fast in my opinion.

Just ask him, he'll tell you how much work he has at the moment.

Re: Wait time from diveskin

I am in the market for a new 5mm spearfishing suit. I am about to order from oceanos / diveskin. I have heard great things about leadtime and customer service, but what about quality and durability? I only question because the cost is around $200 usd less others. (ie omer, spetton, Picasso) I am sure the quality is great as well but just wanted some actual user input.

thanks
Joel

Re: Wait time from diveskin

The neoprene is a bit stiffer than some others but not so much as it will cause a problem. I've had one now for a few years and all that has gone wrong is that the knees have been trashed on the rocks and a couple of seams have started to give way in high stress areas such as the crotch on the trousers. The splits were easily cured with a little glue and a couple of patches on the knees sorted out that problem. This last year I've been using an Elios suit and to be honest I prefer the Diveskin on the whole. Just make sure you measure yourself properly, Spiros can only make it to the sizes you give him, if in doubt make it a small percentage small, there is plenty of stretch everywhere but the neck.

Re: Wait time from diveskin

thank you, that makes me feel more confident. I was just going to order the standard XL size. But I guess the custom measurements would be better.

thanks again

well been about a month now seems the suit arrived at the wrong location (spiros says he sent it right, tracking number says it went to a 33120 zip)and got sent back to Greece....sux...sent Spiros an email on about the 23 to recmfirm, and still not a word from him, doesn't seem normal...any input???
