Wats a good thickness for diving west coast of uk

Ive already got a 4/3mm suit i use here in spain, its grand for summer i can swim for aprx 4hrs, bit cold now in winter my times down to 1 hr, but im moving to the west coast of the uk, midlands, wat thickness suit do u think would be suitable for the winter months in the uk, i will also use that suit here in spain during the winter months so im looking for a suit i can use both here and there during the winter months

A 5mm open cell suit will be spot on for the times it is possible to spear within easy reach of Macclesfield and should be good for the Med winters too
